See Jane Run -- and run a business

Lori Shannon, founder of See Jane Run stores in Idaho and California, was recently featured in INC Magazine.

Lori has competed in numerous marathons with a personal best of 4:38, ridden her bike cross-country (2,600 miles) and participated in many triathlons. She has also developed Train With Jane, an organized training program for women at all fitness levels looking to do marathons and triathlons.

Nice to see a fellow marathoner recognized for her business savvy, too.

26.2 miles of wild and serene terrain: The Mohican Marathon

I'm on the way to Mohican State Park for a trail marathon.

The park and surrounding State Forest (4,795 acres) serve up technical terrain that'll challenge any runner -- especially me considering my training regimen, or lack thereof.

Located in Northern Ohio, roughly two hours from Columbus, the Mohican State Park should offer me and my fellow trail runners terrain that is both wild and serene.

12K for me (and 50K for Jenny) on Mt. Tamalpais

On Saturday, we hiked the hilly, scenic trails from the ocean at Stinson Beach up the Dipsea trail with excellent views of the Pacific Ocean. It was truly the most challenging course ever! Congrats to Jenny on her first 50K. And thanks for Rich and Rhonda for hosting us.
