Album review: “Real Close Ones” by The M’s
Many blog and music rag reviewers say this band has “swagger.” If that term means the M’s can strut their stuff – melody, harmony, rhythm, instrumentation, and mood – then they are right. If on the other hand, the writers mean The M’s are boastful, then I say they’re even more right. This Chicago-based band deserves to be proud of their release. I can’t wait to see them live at the CD release concert at Schuba’s Sunday night. Our friend, Glenn, will be sitting in with the band on percussion.
